Imagine a sport that provides the perfect work-out: one that tones the body, is easy on the joints, and burns calories, all while gliding in a near weightless state.

Swimming isn’t about distance or time. While extra miles deliver results in running and biking, it isn’t necessary in swimming. Since it’s a motor skill sport (like skiing), swimming requires coordinated skill sets for effective movement in the kinetic chain. In other words, proper technique, not speed or more laps, will maximize your time spent in the water.
